| Founders of Ray of Light Missions are Rev. Don and Myrna Marble. Bro. Marble had a burden for the Tarahumara Indians of Mexico even before he knew who they were. He prayed for God to send someone to them. In God's time, (the late 70's) He sent Bro. Marble. Bro. and Sis. Marble made many trips and worked with them for many years. Quite often Bro. Marble made the mission trips while Sis. Marble stayed behind and took care of matters at home. Bro. Marble was the first white man many of them had ever seen. Churches were established and the people came. They were and still are hungry for the Word of God. Churches were established in the Copper Canyon area of Chihuahua to minister to the Tarahumara Indians. Many more churches have been planted since that time. Although Bro. Don Marble has been called to Glory, the work goes on. Sis. Myrna Marble still goes to Mexico to share God's Word and God's love. God has now placed a Missionary family in Cuauhtémoc to work the area on a full time basis. Ron and Terry Swearingin and their family now live in Cuauhtémoc. The Swearingin family work at the training center in Cuauhtémoc in any capacity they are needed. They are busy going out to the villages. In the villages they open churches and attend to the needs of the people. Ray of Light has added a food ministry in the mountains to feed many hungry people as the food is available. God is faithful to his people and to His Word "To Perform it." To God be the Glory! |
